Karan Johar introduced us to his new protege Lakshya via social media and since then internet has went ablaze. He will star in KJo's upcoming project Dostana 2 along with Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aryan. The actor who is making his Bollywood debut with this film has had a successful career in Television. 1) Lakshya was rumoured to be dating Uttran actress Rashami Desai. The two met on the sets of their show Adhuri Kaahani Hamari where Rashami played the character of his bhabhi. As the actor was just 20 at that time and a decade younger than her, their alleged affair called for a lot of attention. However their alleged affair faded overtime and they lost touch.

2) The actor was also in news for dating his another co-star Additi Gupta from show Pardes Mein Hain Mera Dil. But Lakshya never admitted it where as Additi called it baseless rumours.
3) Lakshya got involved in a controversy when media reports claimed that he was slapped by his co-star Mahima Makhwana during their show Adhuri Kahaani Hamari following a tiff. But as per Lakshya the issue was blown out of proportion. It was supposedly just a trivial argument, which often happens between any two co-actors. "I didn't react when she excitedly applied colours on me during a media interaction at the Holi event as I realised it was unintentional on her part. But later when I applied colours on her face, she vigorously rubbed her hands on my face due to which my sunglasses fell off and the colours entered my eyes. I left immideatly and within 20 minutes reports of me getting slapped by her were circulated," he had said.
4) While shooting for his last TV show Porus, news of him throwing tantrums on the set made it to the headlines. As per a report in Midday, Lakshya who was playing the titular role in magnum opus Porus, was rubbing people the wrong way with his starry attitude. He in fact picked up a fight with one of the crew members of his show during its launch.
5) Lakshya quit Ekta Kapoor's show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil starring Drashti Dhami, Addit Gupta, Arjun Bijlani and him as main leads. As the actor was not satisfied with his track on the show.
6) Lakshya who made his entry with Roadies in the showbizz was offered a role luck by chance from famous TV producer Vikas Gupta. "My friend was giving audition for Roadies X1 so he insisted on me joining too. My mom wanted to see me on TV as well, so went ahead. I reached late at the audition and there were already 5000 people standing in line. When I was giving up on the show, a guy from the production team came up to me to inform that I had been called inside. I was surprised! I went inside and met Vikas Gupta. I didn’t know then that he was a famous producer. Next day, I got a call for an interview with him and he offered me a daily soap. After knowing about the show and character, I gave an online audition and got selected," he shared.
